Damian Lee Curtis, Owner

Damian was born and raised right here in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He is the son of a builder and has always been closely involved with the challenges and the rewards of being a general contractor. He has worked in the construction industry, both in the field and in the office, throughout the majority of his life.

After graduating from Fort Walton Beach High School, Damian continued his education at the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Building Science and a minor in Business Management. Working responsibly in leadership positions while a student at the University of Florida and working full-time, he gained the trust and respect of peers, co-workers, professors, and family.

Damian's next move was to Birmingham, Alabama to apply his education to the working world. He worked with Doster Construction Company and gained experience in many areas of project management. The company saw that Damian is dependable, responsible conscientious and energetic. His spirit is competitive and Damian's goals are always set high. He is willing to make the stretch, striving to make things happen! These qualities, combined with his intense desire to "Construct," motivated Damian to re-enter into the academic world and become a licensed contractor in Florida. Damian currently holds a Florida State Certified General Contractor's License (CGC 1507473).

Damian and his wife, Leigh, moved from their "Sweet Home in Alabama" to New York City where Damian graduated top in his class while earning a Master's Degree in Construction Management at New York University.

Using the skills and knowledge he has previously acquired, combined with his experiences at NYU, he developed the foundation of D.L. Curtis Construction, Inc. The company is diversified, incorporating institutional, healthcare, residential and commercial construction. High ethical values are an important aspect of D.L. Curtis Construction, Inc. and will be an incorporated sector of the business. He will continually work to maintain the integrity of his company and his motto:

On a personal level, Damian is married to Leigh Bayer Curtis, a practicing orthodontist, and also a native to Fort Walton Beach. Leigh and Damian are very excited about returning to their hometown and being involved as dedicated professionals in their community. They are most excited about raising their daughters, Hayden Louise and Martha Rylee. As a family, they are members of Trinity United Methodist Church. Damian is a member of the American Industry of Contractors, the Builders Industry Association, and the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce.
